In short: Upload a PDF or Word file of up to 10 MB and Rolebranch fills in your master CV from it. You check the sections it found before anything is saved. Import is free.
Before you start
Import takes a PDF, a Word file (DOCX) or a plain text file, up to 10 MB. A PDF exported from Word or Google Docs works best: a scanned PDF is a picture, with no text to read.
Step by step
- Choose Import from file and drop your CV in, or browse for it.
- Rolebranch uploads the file, reads it and pulls out your experience, education and skills. You can close the window and keep working; it opens again when the import is ready.
- Check what it found: basics, experience, projects, education, skills and languages, with a preview on your accent colour. Anything it didn't find is listed, so you can add it later.
- Save it as your master CV. If you already have one, choose whether the import replaces it or becomes a new master CV. A replaced version stays in the history and can be restored.
Good to know
The file is stored privately and read by an AI model to fill in your CV. Import uses no credits.
If that doesn't work
