What's new

What's new in Rolebranch

Every change we ship, newest first. New features, improvements and fixes.

  1. New

A Design tab for every CV and letter

Master CVs, tailored CVs and cover letters each have a Design tab. Change a CV's template, font, accent colour and spacing, or a letter's layout and style, and watch the paper change as you go. Or ask Romy for looks to try on your CV and keep the one you like.

  2. Improved

    Help when something goes wrong

When something fails, its message now has Get help. Romy reads the error and explains what happened, and if you still need a person, your request carries the error so the team sees what you saw.

  3. New

    Sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple, beside Google, GitHub, an email link or a password. Settings shows which ways to sign in are connected, and you can add or remove one.

  4. Improved

Cover letters as each country expects them

Every cover letter now opens with a subject line, prints at 11 pt on DIN 5008 margins and writes its dates in the letter's language. German and French letters get the letter head readers there expect, and a Highlights style sits beside Paragraphs.

  5. Improved

    CVs that follow local habits

Each template puts its sections in the order its readers expect, a career break can stand in your experience with its reason, and a hint tells you whether a photo is usual in the country you apply to.

  6. New

Work with Romy beside your CV

Master CVs, tailored CVs and cover letters open with Romy's chat beside the paper. Ask for a change, see it marked on the page, then accept or reject it. Click a part of the CV to ask about just that part, or switch to Edit and write it yourself.

  7. Improved

Connect an AI app in a few steps

Connectors walks you through adding Rolebranch to ChatGPT, Claude, Le Chat or Raycast, one step at a time, and moves on by itself once the app is connected.

  8. New

    Rolebranch in six languages

The app, this site and every email now speak English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Ukrainian. Choose the app's language in Settings; your emails can follow it or use another.

  9. New

    Codes for extra credits

Have a code? Redeem it on your Credits page, or open its link, and its Romy credits are added to your account. Each code works once per account.

  10. New

Use Rolebranch from ChatGPT, Claude and more

Connect ChatGPT, Claude or any app that takes an MCP server address from Connectors. It can read your CVs and applications, check a posting from a link, add applications and ask Romy for a tailored CV or letter with your credits. You choose what it may do, and drafts still wait for your review.

  11. New

    Notifications

Replies from the team, credits they add and your monthly credits now show under the bell and on their own page. Choose which of them also come by email.

  12. Improved

    Free during the beta

Every new account gets 100 welcome credits that never expire, plus 50 Romy credits every month. No plans and no card. If you run low, ask the team for more in Settings.

  13. New

All your master CVs in one place

See each master CV with its score and the applications that use it. Duplicate one for a new direction and, if you like, have Romy translate the copy for 5 credits. Names, dates and numbers stay as they are.

  14. New

    Interview practice with feedback

Type an answer and get feedback on what worked and what to add. Questions come from the posting you applied to. One credit per answer.

Interview practice: a question from the posting, your answer being typed, and Romy's feedback on what worked and what to add.
  15. New

    More than one master CV

Keep a master for each direction, such as Frontend engineer and Engineering manager. Each application starts from the one that fits.

  16. Fixed

    PDFs now match the preview

The preview in the editor and the exported PDF could differ in spacing and formatting. They now share one template and the same text rules, so what you see is what you send.

  17. Improved

Quick add from a posting or a link

Paste a job posting on Home and it becomes an application straight away; company and role fill in on their own. Paste a link and New application opens with it filled in.

  18. Improved

    Search and jump with ⌘K

Find an application, open a CV or start a new one from anywhere with the keyboard. Press ? to see every shortcut.
