In short: No CV to import? Start an empty master CV and fill it in section by section: the basics, your roles, education, skills and languages. Put everything in; every tailored CV picks from it. Editing uses no credits.
Starting one
From your master CVs, choose New master CV, then Start empty, and name it for the kind of role it's for, like Frontend engineer. If an import fails before you have a master CV, Start from scratch opens an empty one too.
Filling it in
- Basics: your name, headline, contacts and summary, the top of every CV made from this one.
- Experience: your roles, newest first. Keep everything here; every tailored CV picks from these. Add career break names a gap of months (parental leave, training, a sabbatical) in one line, where a recruiter would otherwise wonder.
- Education: degrees and schools, newest first.
- Skills: groups of skills with the tools in each. Tailoring matches them against the posting.
- Languages: the languages you speak and how well.
Add a section brings in volunteering, awards, certificates or publications when you have them.
Saving it
Save as you go: each save keeps a version you can go back to, and a CV needs one save before you can export it as a PDF. The score shows what's still missing, like start dates or highlights with results.
If that doesn't work
Tell us which section and what happened. A person on the team replies by email.
