Who runs Rolebranch

These terms govern your use of Rolebranch, a software service operated by Oleksandr Burda (“Rolebranch”, “we”, “us”). Rolebranch is the name of the service, not a separate company. The legal notice has the full contact details.

Rolebranch is currently provided as a free beta. There are no paid plans, so nothing is bought or sold under these terms.

What Rolebranch does

Rolebranch helps you create and manage CVs, tailor them to job postings, write cover letters, track your applications and prepare for interviews, with help from Romy, an AI assistant.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You sign in with a one-time link we email to you, with Google, Apple or GitHub, or with a password you set. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.

You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for what is submitted through your account. You can see every signed-in device in Settings and sign any of them out.

Free beta and credits

During the beta, every account gets 100 welcome credits once, which never expire, and 50 Romy credits each account month. Unused monthly credits don't roll over. Credit allowances, features and beta limits may change as Rolebranch develops; we'll tell you before a change applies.

Credits have no monetary value and can't be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. Every action shows its cost before it runs, and a run that fails gives its credits back.

Your content

You keep ownership of the CVs, documents, job information and anything else you submit. We never claim ownership of them.

You give us a limited right to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide and secure Rolebranch and to fix problems you report, as described in the privacy policy. We improve Rolebranch from usage analytics you allow, not by reading your documents. We don't sell your content and don't use it to train AI models. Only upload what you have the right to use.

Romy and AI suggestions

Romy uses AI to help with tailoring, cover letters, interview preparation and feedback. Its suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate or wrong for a particular job.

Romy's drafts are AI-generated text: you edit them, you decide what goes out, and what you send is your own statement. Nothing changes until you accept it, and you remain responsible for reviewing what you send to an employer. Rolebranch doesn't guarantee interviews, job offers or any hiring outcome. Acceptable use

You may not use Rolebranch to:

• break the law;
• upload content you don't have the right to use;
• try to get unauthorised access to Rolebranch or other people's accounts;
• automate or scrape the service in a way that interferes with it;
• abuse the AI features or get around credit limits, for example with extra accounts;
• spread malware or harmful content.

We may pause Romy or an account that does.

Availability

Rolebranch is a beta. Features may change, be interrupted or be discontinued while it develops. Keep your own copy of anything important; export makes that easy.

Ending your account

You can stop using Rolebranch and delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion removes your content and can't be undone.

We may restrict or end access where needed to protect Rolebranch or other users, or to comply with the law, including in cases of serious abuse. We'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for new features, changes in the law or security needs, and we post every change on this page. For changes that affect your rights or obligations, we email you at least two weeks before they apply and ask you to accept them in the app. If you don't accept, you can export your data and close your account at any time.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by German law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.

You can conclude these terms in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Ukrainian. We don't store the version you accepted separately; the current terms are always on this page, where you can save or print them.
