# Markdown in highlights

> Highlights and descriptions take a little Markdown: bold, italic, links and lists. The preview and the PDF show them the same way.

## What works

- `**bold**` or `__bold__` for **bold**.
- `*italic*` or `_italic_` for *italic*.
- `[your portfolio](https://example.com)` for a link.
- Lines starting with `-` or `1.` for a list.

## What doesn't

Links need to start with http, https or mailto; anything else stays plain text, on the page and in the PDF. Images aren't shown, and neither are headings, tables or other Markdown.
