# Changing careers with one master CV

> Keep everything you've done in your master CV. For each posting, Romy leads with what transfers and uses the posting's words where they're true, and she never adds experience you don't have. You check every change.

## Keep everything in the master CV

Your master CV is where everything you've done lives, including the parts that don't look like the new field yet: research, process changes, training others. Every tailored CV picks from it, so leave nothing out.

## What tailoring does for a new direction

For each posting, Romy leads with what the posting values and mirrors its words where you genuinely have the experience. She can rephrase, reorder, shorten and leave out, but every employer, title, date, degree and skill must already be in your master CV. Where a highlight needs a fact she doesn't have, she leaves a blank for you.

## Check each change

You accept or reject every change, so what goes out says only what's true. If you apply in two directions at once, a second master CV named for the new role can keep each story straight.

## If that doesn't work

Tell us about the posting and what you'd expected. A person on the team replies by email.
