# The sign-in link says it expired

## What you saw

A page saying **This link has expired**, with a button to send a new link.

## Why it happens

Sign-in links work once and for 15 minutes. The one you opened was already used, or it's older than that.

## What to do

1. Choose **Send a new link** on that page, or start again from the sign-in page.
2. Open the newest email, and do it within 15 minutes.
3. Open it on the device where you want to be signed in: a link signs you in where you open it.
